Azzi+Co launched its first Paris showroom, showcasing Latin American fashion to the world

That the Azzi+Co showroom has been established in a former Banque Francaise building on the central rue Vivienne in Paris may have been a strategic location choice, but what comes across as serendipity is that upon crossing the entry door, the now-known H.D. Galerie transforms into a vault filled with a wealth of textures, patterns, and colors.

The agency seduces buyers visiting the city for the market days of Paris with the rich prints of Isla & White, the Andrea Gómez flats that Moda Operandi just can’t stop selling, the eye-catching appeal of the Wai Wai Rio handbags, the surprising combination of materials in Botti footwear and the expert textile manipulation of Angelys Balek swimwear, which share space with guest brands: the architectural jewelry of Nayibe Warchausky and the modern accessories of Sensi Studio

With offices in New York and São Paulo, Azzi+Co‘s Business Development team led by Alexandre Tutundjian began its first showroom in Paris on September 29, which will run until October 2, after the agency’s founder, Rafael Azzi, managed the press for the spring-summer 2025 collection of Brazilian shoe designer Alexandre Birman at the Ritz Paris.

“We’ve been doing the market in New York for years now, which reaches the Americas region,” recalls Tutundjian. “If we come to Europe, we reach European, Middle Eastern, and Asian retailers, which is what we are here for, so that we can expand. The goal is to help grow our clients’ businesses on a global scale.”

With the participation of brands mostly from Brazil, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, the common thread is clearly Latin American, although the Azzi+Co partner clarifies that “we are Latinos, but we are not an agency that only represents Latinos, although that happened more or less organically at the beginning”. An example of this is the Thai designer Angelys Balek, whom they have consulted, among other aspects, to adapt shapes for the American and international markets.

After sharing laughs with a couple of Japanese buyers with his charming energy, Tutundjian takes over from Katherine Vazquez Do Couto and continues talking about what the showroom has to offer, while emphasizing on their firm intentions to maintain their presence in the parisian fashion market schedule on behalf of their clients.

BOTTI

The well-known Brazilian shoe brand Botti was present in the showroom with its sophisticated concept. Ballerinas, sandals and moccasins in a fun contrast of textures such as smooth leather with suede, leather with raffia or dense beaded fringes focus the attention on the feet, in the same way that the brand shares protagonism in the runway of Brazilian brands with whom the brand frequently collaborates to develop exclusive styles.

Isla & White

The loose-fitting silhouettes of Dominican Republic-based Isla & White give the body an elegant and relaxed frame, while serving as canvases for a concept strongly based on exclusive prints. The Parisian showroom of Azzi+Co was a perfect fit for the designs of Florencia Bordino from Uruguay and Claudia González from Ecuador, who stand out with their prints inspired by French scenery.

Nayibe Warchausky

Nayibe Warchausky‘s jewelry line stood out for its sobriety and contemporary character. With her most recent collection “Béton brut”, inspired by the brutalist architecture of iconic buildings such as the Teatro Teresa Carreño and Parque Central de Caracas, the Venezuelan designer created earrings, necklaces, bracelets and brooches composed of angular tunnels, in both 24k yellow gold and palladium plated brass, handcrafted by Italian artisans and jewelry masters.

Wai Wai Rio

With more than 10 years in business, Wai Wai Rio lets its bags seduce shoppers and end customers with its fun, elegant and beautifully handcrafted designs. From a bag inspired by the traditional houses of the Quadrado de Trancoso, in the beautiful state of Bahia, Brazil, made with hand-woven wicker and hand-painted details, to its customizable acrylic and Swarovski crystal clutches, the Brazilian line brings a smile to the face of anyone who lays eyes on its designs.

Andrea Gómez

Among Moda Operandi‘s best-selling shoes, at least two designed by Andrea Gómez stand out: the “Antonia” model, which mixes the comfortable silhouette of a laced-up, low-heeled oxford with a mesh body that makes it perfect for summer, and the “Bella” model, a platform sandal with a chunky heel that is constantly praised for its comfort. This core products and new styles of the Venezuelan designer are making their way to more and more markets.

Angelys Balek

Thai swimwear brand Angelys Balek, founded more than 10 years ago, has made its way into the international market through Azzi+Co. With styles that favor different body types, the pieces stand out for an important manipulation of fabrics with handmade techniques such as smocking, rose-shaped volumes and lettuce finishes, that are complemented by prints that retain the quality of the brushstrokes of the designer, who is also a painter.
